Advanced Satellite started shortly after the first commercial satellite imagery became available from Landsat 4 (launched in 1982). In 1986 the company launched the publication of "Vancouver From Space" -- a beautiful satellite poster which reflected from space just how beautiful the Vancouver area really was. This poster was followed by Seattle From Space and eventually a host of other satellite posters.

In recent years the company has added map information on top of the satellite imagery to create a new class of products -- the satellite image-map. These maps have proven to be as popular as the original satellite posters.

We also publish place-map-size versions of our image maps. These are especially popular with the tourists because they are the right size for packing in a suitcase, they can be used as visual maps while they are touring and they are low cost. The small size also enables smaller retailers to carry the product.
